How to progress?

I'd be grateful for advice on how to proceed.

Got divorced. Nisi in December 2015. Nothing happened after 6 weeks. I inquired. Then Absolute at the end of march 2016. I was the Respondent.

We did not have a financial settlement. Saying that, my ex demanded a Clean Break right from the outset. In fact, in April 2016, she said (again) that she was happy with a Clean Break and that she would pay for it. Went quiet.

I am happy with a Clean Break. I just want everything over and done with. Over the past 2+ years (since November 2014), things have not been good for me (cancer and all). But I just want it all over. She is not responding. On my end, I just want to clear everything without unnecessary legal costs.

What's the best approach in this case? I can afford the Clean Break package offered on Wikivorce, but no more.

Have you agreed how the finances are to be sorted out?

Do you have an address for her or other means of contact?

I would suggest a simple letter setting out the agreement. Keep to financial details and don't include any of the emotional stuff.

Explain that a Consent Order will protect you both in the future. Point her at the consent order service on this site and suggest you take this route.

Give a date for a response.
