Solicitor Letter about grandparents messages

I have had a letter from my ex partner's solicitor regarding messages my parents had sent to her mother. My parents were trying to help mediate asking her mother to have a conversation/chat/mediation between the families to settle finances/moral support/children matters amongst other things.

We have been separated for almost 4 years now and live separately.

The whatsapp messages has been construed as pressurising her to settle finances and I have been 'warned' not to pressurise her. Whats the legal standing on this ? I plan to reply to the solicitor myself for now.

I was not party to the messages.

While I'm sure your parents were well intentioned, and were only trying to help it hasn't come across as that by the other side.

The best thing would be for your parents to continue supporting you but not getting involved with discussions with the other side, especially not instigating discussions with the other side.

A simple reply saying that your parents were well-intended and were only trying to help but that you and they recognise that the messages may not have been received in the spirit in which they were sent, and that they won't involve themselves in the future should be sufficient.
