I am going through my divorce. I have a 11 year old child and I want to know if I can get custody of the child as I am the father. I had faced domestic abuse from my ex as she is alcoholic. Even now that we live in the same house but separate she doesn't take care of the child. We both work but I see to him most of the time. she is off on weekends but the child is neglected. He makes his own breakfast and lunch is given to him extremely late like 3 pm or 4 pm and most weekends he is only given snacks by her no proper meal. Even most of his clothing and food I have to see too. she doesn't get him. but emotionally gets to the child that he is for her. I am afraid that if she gets custody he will be neglected. would I be able to get custody.
