Thank you to everyone who sent in user reports/pms this morning, alerting us to a persistent spam poster called "thankss". This has now been dealt with by Wikivorce and the poster in question no longer has access to the site.

Unfortunately we do get spammers from time to time and the only way the moderating team can take action is if we are made aware of the issue. We do act swiftly to remove spammers and endeavour to keep wiki a safe place for all.

Thanks to the moderating team - and in particular Mitchum, over 60 spam posts were removed or had the content edited out and the matter is now fully resolved.

I would like to reassure members that a spammer posting a high volume of posts is very, very rare - and were only able to do so as they posted during the middle of the night. Usually, spam posts are removed very swiftly - within a matter of minutes - after being posted

Thank you to those members who sent in user reports (it''s not necessary a member to send in multiple user reports about the same spammer - one report is enough).

If you are unsure or concerned about any private message, simply forward it to myself, the Teamwiki account or any moderator and we can take it from there. If you are unsure about a post or blog, you can send TeamWiki, myself, or any moderator a PM - or send in a user report and we can take the required action.

Thank you again for your swift actions in bringing this to our attention.
