What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

I left my married home 6 years through emotional cruelty on behalf of my husband.had to sell my half of the house to son to but flat of my own after6 months renting He has suddenly decided to divorce me under the easy laws but I M not happy about it as we agreed there was no need for. Divorce. He has been with a very close female friend for the last 7 years who invaded our personal life. I am wondering whether I am return to the house as he will not enter a consent agreement on money as he has none but female friend lives in accommodation >£1M.

How long were you married? You cant really stop a divorce but you can claim financial benefits from it . I dont think you could return to the house though
