Hi
I have had no luck in getting a response from the courts.
I have a child arrangements order with my ex husband for our son who is now 15. All I am trying to find out is what age does the Child Arrangements order and the prohibited steps order end? Is it 16? There is no date for either on the order.
Thank You

Usually orders in respect of children end when the child turns 18 as the child is no longer considered a child but an adult.

However, courts very rarely enforce breaches of Child Arrangements Orders if the child is 16 or 17, as the court would take the view that at that age, a young person is able to make thier own decisions about where and with whom they spend thier time with.

Re the PSO - it would depend on what the terms of the order are, and what it is that you/he are being prevented from doing.
